Well here we are - five years later already and on our way. With minimal pre-planning this time, we are making our plans as we go. Stop one: Cannes, France.
We spent all day yesterday moving Mima in to her new digs for the year. She has a lovely location and the school is just completing brand new studios, ready for classes Nov.1. The staff are friendly and the feel of the place is vibrant. Exciting and terrifying are the words used by Mima to describe how she is feeling. Everything is very French - imagine! But knowing she has two years of French Immersion and some of the girls have no knowledge of the language makes it a little easier. She is not alone. Saying goodbye on Tuesday will be a killer - but we see her again Mid October for a couple of weeks.
The rest of us - and we are lucky to be with my Dad and Jayne, have spent the days checking out the local villages and beaches and cuisine. Mattias' new past time is checking out super yachts and some pretty amazing cars. Ferraris are a dime a dozen here. I have to say, not a bad way to start out the year!
We are starting to set some tentative plans for the rest of the year. We are off to Italy from here and then back to Barcelona to watch a FC Barca game. For the last part of September and to the end of October we will travel through northern Europe. Probably from there we will head to Africa for a couple of months and then head back to this part of the world - or somewhere nearby to spend Christmas. TBD!
Stay tuned as we will let you know our plans as we make them!
We miss everyone at home,
take care.....
